The QBE Rehabilitation Team comprises of case management experts from a wide range of clinical backgrounds whose role is to provide bespoke, cost effective services to our clients.

The provision and co-ordination of bespoke rehabilitation services requires selecting quality rehabilitation service providers and facilitating good communication and resource management. Our award winning team is ideally placed to deliver this having a presence in London as well as our regional offices and co-ordinates the services listed.

We provide bespoke solutions and market leading products that set QBE claims apart – reflected in industry awards for our Minor/Whiplash and Major Injury Management Services and the results in QBE’s 2010 Independent Broker Survey.

QBE's Minor Injury Management service provides clients with an online system to refer all RIDDOR notifications, in order to begin the rehabilitation programme as soon as possible.

Analysis has shown this early rehabilitation intervention has resulted in a 29 per cent faster return to work.

This has resulted in a reduced loss of earning savings on average £1,157 per claim, and has also resulted in clients significantly reducing their costs associated with absence.

The rehabilitation team works across all classes in QBE such as EL, PL, Speciality and Motor.

The team’s role is varied in terms of:

  • Client facing rehabilitation team – to support and advise to QBE policyholders
  • Promotion and assistance to clients regarding integration of Rehabilitation services within their organisations
  • Selection of expert rehabilitation panel providers
  • Quality assurance of panel providers
  • Ongoing Analysis of rehabilitation services.
  • Bespoke rehabilitation MI provision to clients

A key function of the QBE Rehabilitation Team is to work with clients, underwriters, risk managers and brokers to advise on the best strategies to meet business needs.

These can encompass:

  • Occupational health matters
  • Individual employee issues
  • Rehabilitation and return to work policies.
