Of course, we wouldn’t be in business long if we simply took on every insurance risk that we were offered. That’s why we place such importance on risk management. We work closely with clients to ensure they are doing everything possible to minimise the likelihood of having to make a claim.

You’ll find an example later in the risk management area of how we achieved this for a client. It’s an approach that benefits everyone: you avoid the disruption and potential financial loss involved in incurring a claim; your premiums may well be lower as a result of good risk management; and we’re less likely to have to pay out on a policy, which also means premiums can remain competitive.

Brokers deal with insurance companies all the time, so they are well placed to evaluate them. Clearly they appreciate our approach. In the 2008 Insurance Times Commercial Broker Survey we were rated third overall for service out of all the major UK insurance companies.
