The provision of client-focused insurance solutions through specialist underwriters, quality claims handling and strategic risk management has established QBE as the market leader in the motor insurance sector.

QBE offers commercial vehicle, bus and coach, fleet car, taxis, minibus and self-drive hire programmes amongst a variety of other business classes. Unlike many motor insurers, however, we do not just rely on a standard approach. We are prepared to offer bespoke solutions, along with package and cross class products to provide cover where many insurers are not able or prepared to.

Moreover, as well as providing an excellent claims handling service, via our 24/7 claims helpline, we work very closely with our clients to help them identify and reduce potential sources of claims, with our proactive risk management service.

In 2008 QBE launched its regional offering under the QBE National banner. This business operates from eight regional centres, each offering market-leading products from the Motor, Casualty and Property portfolios. This enables local empowerment of Motor Underwriters, who can deliver flexible and innovative underwriting products along with QBE's established top quality service. Also in 2008, QBE launched an all encompassing Motor Trade product, to complement the existing Road Risk elements already underwritten within the commercial portfolio. A European initiative, including an Irish branch based in Dublin, also commenced in 2007, further expanding our distribution base through existing European branches.

QBE Motor is fully ISO 9001:2008 certified and the QBE Motor Quality Management System has been developed in line with the requirements of this International Standard.
