Multinational Client Centre

Genuine global coordination from a highly experienced service delivery team.

The ability to give first class service to our global clients wherever they might have exposure is paramount. Giving first class service in a compliant and globally coordinated manner is essential. The QBE proposition provides genuine global coordination through a highly experienced service delivery team and an extensive global footprint through its Multinational Network.

Territorial compliance and global coverage

A key driver for the coordinated management of Multinational risks is to ensure that we are able to let both broker and client know as soon as possible the extent to which we can cover their exposures. Advice on whether local policy issuance is a regulatory requirement, the local tax position and any other regulatory or local nuance is taken into consideration from the outset. The Multinational Client Centre (MCC) ensures that we are looking after the client’s best interest in every territory.

Coordinated management

A true differentiator in writing multinational programmes is having a dedicated team. Their sole purpose is to be the focal point of coordination between client, broker, local offices and market requirements. They liaise with the underwriters and our own internal mechanisms for both monitoring the issuance of all policy documentation and the tracking of premium payments.

The Multinational Client Centre acts as the hub to the entire operation, using the purpose built web based ‘Multinational Client System’. The MCC are able to monitor the progress throughout the development of the programme and track each territory as we move towards having local policies issued. The key aspects of the MCC global coordination are based upon strong client (relationship) management and the management of cash flow.

Client management

Our approach to each programme is bespoke to that particular client, but every case follows a robust and tested methodology. Starting with the cases conference, through the deployment of the programme to the final monitoring and adjustments that happen throughout the life time of the programme, the Client Manager (and specific case handler and claim representative) are there all the way. Getting to know the detail of the programme, the territories, programme structure, premium allocations and claims histories gives the client the confidence that their risk exposure is being handled in a professional manner by the specialist underwriters and is being managed and coordinated around the world by the Client Manager.

Cash flow management

The Client Manager also has ultimate responsibility for ensuring the management of the client’s money is given as much attention as the other aspects of the programme. The experience within the accounts team of handling International business is paramount to dealing with arguably the most complex element of the Multinational process. Our systems and processes give the MCC the ability to transact and move money in multi currency, match and reconcile territorial accounts and ensure that the programme is regularly kept up to date with premiums and claims being paid around the world.
